17 m is really looking up at the moment. If it's a band that you've overlooked or just haven't bothered to go on then take my advice, get yourself an antenna that will work on there and give it a go, you'll be surprised how good it is. What I read in like about this WARC band is it exempt from contests which means we have a retreat at the weekends. I didn't do as much operating today as I have done in recent days, but I did work a few guys in Canada and the US.

10 m opened up to South Africa, Spain, Madagascar (5R8UI) and Angola (D2CQ) today, well they were the stations I worked.  MU0GSY called in from Guernsey, pretty good signal considering it was ground wave, I think he was 5/4 and extremely readable. Mind you, he is only about 80 miles away and I don't suppose there is anything but saltwater between us.

Finally, a very big thank you to Terry, VE3TMG for making a recording of me yesterday when I was on 17 m, nice to see how I was being received in Canada.
