This week sees the RNLI celebrating lifeboat week.  As Brixham houses the Torbay lifeboat there are obviously some celebrations and activities going on in the area.  The Riviera Amateur Radio Club based in Torquay are holding a special event station on Tuesday 19 and Friday, 28 July 2012.  The station will be set up just to the left of the entrance to the breakwater car park, right next to the bottle bank. I believe they will be operating on 40 m and 2 m using vertical antennas and a beam on 2 m.  So please tune in on these two days and give the guys your support.  If you fancy dropping in and seeing the activities then have a wander down during the week, any support will be gratefully accepted. I will probably never down myself and do a little bit of filming for the website and YouTube.
