The Queen of England will be celebrating her Diamond Jubilee this year, that is 60 years on the throne. Elizabeth II is the second longest reigning queen after Victoria. UK radio amateurs have been granted permission to use a special call for just over one month during the Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

From 0000 BST May 5, 2012 to 2359 BST June 10, 2012 my callsign will be GQ0VQY. I will be active on 40 m using a wire dipole and frequencies above using a three element SteppIR beam.

I will be setting up an account with eQSL where I will upload a specially designed card commemorating the Diamond Jubilee.

It is very important that anyone wanting a card understands that I will only be using eQSL, I will not be accepting any other type of card so please do not waste your time or money sending me cards directly, or to the bureau.

Please be aware that anyone sending me a card anyway other than eQSL will not receive a reply.
